Custom Search
Finding a Milwaukee Realtor shouldn't be hard, there are over a thousand qualified and certified Realtors in the Greater Milwaukee Area. The tricky part is finding the right one. Keep reading to learn how you can use the Wisconsin's Realtors Association search function to find the best Milwaukee agent for you and your family. The Wisconsin Realtors Association homepage (http://www.wra.org) offers a simple and easy-to-use “Find a Realtor” function linked directly from their main site. Once you've accessed the database search page, you can search by name, company, city or designation. While searching for simply “Milwaukee” in the city field will yield over a thousand results, you can narrow your search for a Milwaukee Realtor by focusing on specific designations and certifications. Some of these designations are: Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) To obtain this certification, Realtors must complete a two-day course, exam, and proof that they've served as the buyer's representative on at least five real estate transactions. The Accredited Buyer Representative Manager's (ABRM) certification covers brokers, firm owners and managers who want to focus on buyer representation for their business. Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) To obtain this designation, a Realtor must complete 120 credits RLI-courses including Land 101, RLI Tax course, and Land Investment Analysis. They must also show three years of experience as a real estate licensee and prove either $5,000,000 in land transactions or at least 25 separate land sales. Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) The Certified Residential Specialist is a certification offered by the Council of Residential Specialists and can be obtained through a varying combination of education and experience. The advanced training is focused on the residential market, particularly with the interpersonal skills required to be a great residential real estate agent. Internet Professional (E-Pro) An e-Pro is a certified Realtor who has completed the required on-line real estate classes, including coverage of on-line home tours, on-line property listings, neighborhood data, on-line forms and offers, and more. A good Milwaukee Realtor will have at least one, if not more, of these designations to offer. Other popular designations include the Graduate Realtor Institute Certification and Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation. See also: All Articles for Home Property Tips
