Pensacola, Florida

North Florida real estate for Pensacola median home prices waver around $165,000. As a seaport on the Pensacola Bay and home to a large US Navy airbase along with the University of West Florida, Pensacola is a small city with a lot going on.

The population is approximately 56,000 people strong, not including the Pensacola Beach community on Santa Rosa island.

Tallahassee, Florida

The median sale price for homes in Tallahassee is currently hovering at around $165,000. The population of 160,000 residents has a median age of just 30 years old and a median income of about $33,700.

The cities exceptionally young demographic does owe something to the presence of Florida State University, Florida A&M University, and the Florida State University College of Engineering.

Jacksonville, Florida

Jacksonville was hit particularly hard by the recent downturn in the state's housing market.

Median sale prices in the area currently sit at $200,000 and appear to be bouncing back as they regain and begin to appreciate.

The population of Jacksonville is almost 800,000 and boasts a median age of 35 years old and a median income of $45,400.

As the state's largest city and comprising the most North Florida real estate, the surrounding metropolis is estimated at roughly 1.3 million residents. The city is also home to Jacksonville University and the University of North Florida.
